Two family-owned and operated businesses under common ownership
JACKSON, Michigan and HOPKINS, Minnesota — It was announced today that R.W. Mercer Co. (RWM) and Pump & Meter Service, Inc. (P&M) have signed an agreement to join both businesses as wholly-owned subsidiaries under a new holding company. The holding company will be owned by Kurt Radermacher and Andy Mercer, the shareholders of P&M and RWM, respectively.
While the companies will continue under family ownership and operate independently, the new ownership structure will provide the opportunity to leverage combined purchasing power and to share best practices to benefit customers across the upper Midwest. P&M and RWM are two of the longest operating family-owned businesses in the industries and markets in which they operate.

friend and someone I have respected for many years. This new structure will allow both our businesses to aggressively invest in our employees and customers alike.”
Founded in 1930 and 1960 respectively, both P&M and RWM share a long history of expertise in the petroleum and construction industries.

The final transaction is expected to close fourth quarter 2022.
